Everyone Has A Story

Have you ever noticed that most of us don't take into consideration anyone else? Trust me, I KNOW I haven't. I watched a movie, The Family That Preys, and a simply line uttered by Alfre Woodard said, "We all have a story."

Those simple words struck me, and have been with me ever since. The person rushing to get home that cuts you off may be rushing to see someone they love for the last time. Or a person that is rude to you, might have just found out that foreclosure is in site soon. I think if we just took a few moments instead of reacting in anger, we would see that there is much more.

We all have a story.

New Year - New Me

It's that time again, a new year and just like this quote says a time to start all over. I have taken a few steps to make this year better. First, I finally set foot back to church and I was moved to tears. Anytime I walk into the Fathers house I can't help but cry. I get overwhelmed with the love, thankfulness, hope, and joy. I have started taken care of my body. it is a temple and I am trying to treat it as so. I have been working out and walking. I hope I can stick to it. Here is a short list of my new years resolutions:

1. Put God first, and gain a closer relationship with Him.
2. Be a better daughter, sister, girlfriend, and friend.
3. Remember that EVERYONE has a story, and not to judge.
4. Be thankful for all that I have in my life, and remember there are far more people in worse conditions.
5. Volunteer for something in the near future.

These lyrics resonate into my soul. Everytime I hear this song I want to lift my hands and say thank you Lord. Each day that goes by I fall more and more in love with my Creator. I am so thankful for His love, His grace, Him.
